DUA during SAJDAh (prostration)

  1. “Sub’hana Rabbeyal A’ala” three times.

«سُبْحَانَ رَبِّيَ الْأَعْلَى»

Translation:

Glory be to my Lord the Most High, glory be to my Lord the Most High. (Abu Dawood, Tirmizi)

  1. Sub’hanak Allahumma Rabbana wa be’hamdeka Allahummaghfirli.

«سُبْحَانَكَ اللَّهُمَّ رَبَّنَا وَبِحَمْدِكَ اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي»

Translation: Glorified be You, O Allah, our Lord! All the praises are for You. O Allah, forgive me. (Bukhari, Muslim).

  1. Subboohun Quddoosun Rabbul Mala’ekate war Rooh.

«سُبُّوحٌ, قُدُّوسٌ، رَبُّ الْمَلَائِكَةِ وَالرُّوحِ»

Translation: “All-Glorious, All-Holy, Lord of the angels and spirit.

  1. Allahumma laka sajad’to, wa beka aamanto, wa laka aslamto, sajada waj’hiya lillazi khalaqahu, wa sawwarahu, wa shaqqa sam’ahu wa basarahu, tabarakallaho Ahsanul Kahleqeen.

«اللهُمَّ لَكَ سَجَدْتُ، وَبِكَ آمَنْتُ، وَلَكَ أَسْلَمْتُ، سَجَدَ وَجْهِي لِلَّذِي خَلَقَهُ، وَصَوَّرَهُ، وَشَقَّ سَمْعَهُ وَبَصَرَهُ، تَبَارَكَ اللهُ أَحْسَنُ الْخَالِقِينَ»

Translation: O Allah, to You I have prostrated and in You I have believed and to You I have submitted. My face has prostrated to the One Who created it and formed it, and brought forth its hearing and sight. Blessed be Allah the best of Creators. (Muslim)

  1. Sub’hana zil jabaroote wal malakoote wal kibriya’e wal azamah.

«سُبْحَانَ ذِي الْجَبَرُوتِ وَالْمَلَكُوتِ وَالْكِبْرِيَاءِ وَالْعَظَمَةِ»

Translation: Glory be to the Possessor of greatness, the Kingdom, grandeur and majesty. (Abu Dawood).

  1. Allahummaghfir lee zambi kullahu, deqqahu wa jillahu, wa ‘awwalahu wa akherahu, wa alaneyatahu wa sirrahu.

« اللهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي ذَنْبِي كُلَّهُ دِقَّهُ، وَجِلَّهُ، وَأَوَّلَهُ وَآخِرَهُ وَعَلَانِيَتَهُ وَسِرَّهُ»

Translation: O Allah! Forgive all my sins, the small and the great, the first and the last, the open and the secret.” (Muslim).

  1. Allaahumma innee aa’uzu be-redhaka min sakhaṭeka, wa mu’aafaateka min uqoobateka, wa aa’uzu beka minka, laa aḥsee sanaa’an alaika, Anta kamaa asnaita alaa nafsik).”

«اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِرِضَاكَ مِنْ سَخَطِكَ، وَبِمُعَافَاتِكَ مِنْ عُقُوبَتِكَ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْكَ لَا أُحْصِي ثَنَاءً عَلَيْكَ أَنْتَ كَمَا أَثْنَيْتَ عَلَى نَفْسِكَ»

Translation:

O Allah, I seek refuge in Your pleasure from Your anger, and in Your forgiveness from Your punishment, and I seek refuge in You from You (from Your anger). I cannot reckon Your praise. You are as You have lauded Yourself. (Muslim).
